A hair-raising trip up narrow mountain roads gave us a bird's eye view of Nun's Valley, a hidden valley tucked in the mountains used for refuge from invders. Later in the fishing village of Camara de Lobos we learnd more about the ''Ugly Fish'' and tried Poncha - oh, by the way they were preparing for a festival - honoring Sao Pedro. Fortified by our Poncha it was up, up, up to the top of the higest sea cliffs in Europe. Standing on the glass catwalk you can look between your feet to the ground below, almost 600 meters away.
