A full day awaits ! We drove to the top of Monte Brasil for it's expansive views of Angra. Driving down to the tidal pools we had a little bovine traffic jam, slowing us down enough to enjoy the massive Hydrangea hedges along the road. At the pools we marveled at the rocks and a few of us played in the water. Then on to the vineyard where we learned how to protect tender grape vines with stone walls and recessed 'pots'. How about climbing down into a volcano - promised to be completely dormant! Then the always popular home hosted visit featuring local food and great conversations - cut short by a pesky TEL telling us we were out of time!
